A Mano Aleatico Di Puglia Passito 2010 Wine 50 cl

£17.07

Joe Fattorini's Tasting Note: "I think this is the wine Goldilocks would have chosen; sweet but not too sweet. It’s a red pud wine, concentrated with flavours of cherry and dried cranberries. There are herbal touches too, but it’s only half as sweet as many classic dessert wines. It’s beautiful with chocolate puddings or even fruit."
A Mano Aleatico comes from a one-hectare vineyard of pure Aleatico, Puglia indigenous grape, located in Gioia del Colle, South of Bari that grows on sandy soil, rich in minerals.
It immediately shows elegance and enveloping softness. Deep ruby red in colour with perfumes of red rose petals and dried cherries.
These aromas give way to a dark, black cherry and spice character on the palate with rounded tannins and a characteristic bitter twist.
Sweet and luscious but not cloying, it has dried fruit and cinnamon perfumes on the finish.
Food Pairing Suggestions: Traditional almond cookies and aged cheese.
