A dry sherry produced in Sanlucar de Barrameda, located on the Atlantic coast in the classic sherry producing region in Jerez, South West Spain. Serve with traditional Spanish meat dishes such as Albondigas.
Owned by the Barbadillo family since 1821, 7 generations of family sherry production.
Aged for 5 years in sherry butts (casks) where the wine is very slowly oxidised, concentrating the wine and developing its complex flavours of dried fruits and nuts.
Bodegas Barbadillo is the world's leading manzanilla producer. They have 12 bodegas spread across the ancient city of Sanlucar de Barrameda. These bodegas contain 30,000 butts of sherry.
Tasting note: A dry sherry that had a beautiful golden brown colour with a toffee and caramel nose. Deliciously smooth with toffee, pecan and vanilla flavours and a bone dry finish.
