£38.35

Distinctive Features: Barolo Bussia from the Bofani vineyard is a rounded and balanced wine that is appreciated over time with a beautiful balsamic vein accompanied by hints of wild berries and liquorice.
Vinification: After careful selection, the Nebbiolo grapes from the Bofani vineyard in Bussia are destemmed, macerated and left to ferment on the skins for at least 10-12 days in steel tanks, at a controlled temperature, with regular pumping over. It is aged in Slavonian oak casks followed by stainless steel vats. Refining continues in the bottle after this time.
Grape Type: Rightly dubbed the Italian "King of Wines”, it is made from Nebbiolo grapes only. Thin skin, long vegetative cycle, light colour and noble astringency are the predominant varietal characteristics of the symbol of Piedmont and Italy in the world.
Terroir: The Bussia area offers the perfect synthesis of eastern grey marl and western clay soils. The Bofani vineyard, where the ancient farmstead of the same name stands, is the exclusive property of Batasiolo, a peculiarity that makes this a cru within a cru.
