Batasiolo, DOLCETTO D'ALBA DOC BRICCO DI VERGNE, 750 ml, Still Red Dry Wine, Fruity Flavour

£14.31

Distinctive Features: The Bricco di Vergne is a wine of great harmony and personality, which transmits intense fruity aromas and all the sensations of young wines. A rich, full, perfectly fresh and balanced flavour with a slight bitter aftertaste.
Vinification: After a careful selection of the best bunches of the Bricco di Vergne vineyard, the Dolcetto grapes are de-stemmed and crushed, before undergoing the traditional fermentation process in stainless steel for about 8-10 days. At the end of the malolactic fermentation in spring, the wine continues its refinement in bottles.
Historical Background: In the past Dolcetto was the so-called “farmer's wine”, purchased in demijohns and scarcely appreciated by the aristocratic public. Its vegetative cycle is rapid and withstands the coldest climate. At its best it produces purple-coloured wines, with medium-high tannins and medium acidity.
Grape Type: This Vineyard is located in a remote area of Vergne at a height ranging from 250 to 450 meters high. Due to its exposure and slope, it is characterized by more rigid temperatures, which is why its grapes are constantly checked, harvested and vinified separately.
Brand: Human experience, tradition, research and innovation – strong of the founding values of Batasiolo, the age-old wine-making tradition becomes contemporary excellence.
