Bercher's Burkheimer Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) is a juicy, full-bodied ruby red wine. It has spicy sweet aromas of dark chocolate, orange, and figs, complemented by a smooth, filigree acidity on the palate. The wine is made from volcanic soil and undergoes mash fermentation, aged for 15 months in barrique (French oak barrels). This dry Spätburgunder pairs well with rabbit roulade with dried prunes or rack of lamb with a tapenade crust. It's best served at a temperature of 16 - 18°C. The wine has an alcohol content of 13.0% vol and a residual sugar level of 1.7 g/l, with an acidity level of 6.0 g/l.
The Bercher 2020 Burkheimer Spätburgunder Village Pinot Noir dry would be ideal for enthusiasts of harmonious, elegant Pinot Noir with good acidity and ripe fruit notes.
