The DOC Venezia is a recently designated origin denomination, its specifications were published on January 7th, 2011, and later modified on November 30th of the same year, it extends into the eastern part of the Po Valley, in an area between the provinces of Treviso and Venice, dedicated to viticulture since Roman times and highly suited to the cultivation of various varieties, it is from these lands that Venezia DOC Bottega originates, a wine that embodies two souls because it arises from the marriage of an international grape variety (Merlot) with an autochthonous grape variety (Raboso Piave)
Color and Appearance: Deep ruby red with garnet shades
Bouquet: Intense and characteristic, it presents a wide fruity aroma of cherry and berries (raspberry and blackcurrant) that evolves into balsamic hints of thyme and closes with a pleasant and delicate spicy note of tobacco and chocolate
Taste: Dry, warm and structured, it has good tannicity and an acidic note in balance with the sensations of softness and silkiness conferred by the careful aging in wood
Pairings: It goes particularly well with roast meats, braised meats, game, duck and guinea fowl, cured meats and mature cheeses
