£19.95

PRODUCER - It all began in Constantia, the narrow bit of peninsula where Governor Simon van der Stel planted 750 hectares of vines in 1685. Buitenverwachting, meaning ‘beyond expectation’, belongs to the Mueller family, who have lovingly restored both its buildings and its reputation as a source of particularly elegant South African wine.
TASTING NOTES - It blooms with generous ripe apricot, melon, and baked apple characters, with sumptuous sweetness balanced by riveting natural acidity to a long succulent fresh finish.
AWARDS - The Trophy Wine Show awarded the 2016 vintage bronze and the 2017 vintage trophy.
FOOD PAIRINGS - Pair them with rich pates like foie gras and salty blue cheeses such as Roquefort.
IDEAL GIFT - This wine makes the ideal gift for a work colleague, friend or simply yourself!
