Ca' Bolani Aquilis Sauvignon Blanc DOC - Italian Still Dry White Wine - Friuli DOC Aquileia, Italy - 75cl / 750ml, 13% ABV

£22.96

THE ESTEEMED CA' BOLANI ESTATE: A garden of vines lined with 999 Cypress trees, the Ca' Bolani estate in Aquileia is nestled between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, the ideal environment for producing wines with distinguished fragrances and flavours
AQUILIS: the Aquileia terror provides the ideal soil for cultivating a small batch of highly expressive Sauvignon Blanc grapes, carefully vinified into a full-bodied wine with a bright and shiny appearance complimented by emerald highlights. Around 18,000 bottles are produced, only in the finest vintages
SAUVIGNON BLANC: Manually harvested with only the best being accepted, the grapes are kept under temperature-controlled conditions for a day before being gently pressed and fermented. The wine matures on the yeasts with subsequent refinement in the bottle
THE BOUQUET: Herbaceous and fruity, the nose offers notes of sage and elderberry subdued by scents of citrus reminiscent of pink grapefruit and Sorrento lemon, combining elegant complexity and aromatic intensity into a surprising, complete bouquet
THE TASTE: Pleasant tanginess and a harmonious acidic structure create a balanced palate which lends freshness without being aggressive, corresponding with the nose for an intense aromatic resurgence. Pairs well with shellfish and asparagus pasta dishes
