UNESCO world heritage status protects viticulture (grape growing) on the island. The same method has been practiced for over 2,500 years.
Cantine Pellegrino was founded 1880. Today the 5th generation of the family own and run the company. They are the leading producer on Pantelleria, a volcanic island 100km South West of Sicily.
This wine is produced from sun dried Zibibbo grapes.
The wine offers rich flavours of apricots, honey, dried figs and hints of orange peel. It has a very long and complex finish. Perfect with fruit or chocolate desserts & cheeses.
