The winery works with vineyards located within 8km of the estate, where proximity to the Atlantic Ocean imparts a characteristic saline freshness, while granite soils contribute depth and structure. Vines are trained on traditional south-facing pergolas to maximise leaf area and ripening potential, while raising the grapes off the ground reduces the risk of fungal disease in this humid, wet region.
